We provide mostly equestrian events with first aid cover across West Devon and East Cornwall, supporting British Riding Clubs, Pony Clubs and others, including Challenge South West Challenge Trucks. We were very privileged to be awarded the Ted Grundy Cup by Spooners and West Dartmoor Pony Club at Christmas 2024, showing their appreciation of the work we do supporting their events in ways other than first aid. If we feel that an event requires more specialist medical cover, we work closely with a local medical provider who assists when necessary. We are fully certified and insured to FREC 3 and 4.
Having worked in logistics for many years, we have built up relationships across the West Country with agency and training providers, as well as other areas of the industry. We can provide External Transport Management as well as compliance support, but are just as happy to help with queries via a chat on the phone.
Our mainstay of our training is first aid, both the one-day EFAW courses and, on occasion, three-day FAW courses. We also work with a leading transport consultancy and training provider, carrying out first aid CPC courses at regular points throughout the year. Karben Services is very proud to have worked for some years with several local Pony Clubs, providing one-day EFAW courses for their parents and helpers.
Amongst our small team, we have a qualified Equine Sports Massage Therapist who can visit you at your home or yard to give advice or treat your equine friends. Karen has many years of experience working with horses, having originally studied at Rodbaston Agricultural College, with her first role being head girl at a large stud yard in Staffordshire.
We also work alongside British Showjumping Course Builders, providing arena and showjumping judging support.
